Simirishamn Sommarfestival turned out great aswell. Though cancelled in d middle cause ov d weather gods, a few local acts had to cancell their show wich really sucks... Hope 2 see yall next time.
The folks whom showed up had a great spirit and showed us the meaning ov LOVE!! Great audience, great crew, wonderful food (thanks 2 ROMA!)

The popkornfinals this year was one ov the best I've seen. A great mixture ov sound n style. There's so many good bands out there!!
We are happy that the tivoli was packed with people, thanks for the support yall, hopefully we got some new listeners and turned folks into our sound:-)

It's time to get excited people!! We are working on the material that will be on wax soon!! The cd will have a lot ov new stuff aswell as the golden oldies you all love;-)

What's cookin?

The boys and girls in S.T.I.C.S feat. Ladah got a lot of stuff in the cookin pot. On wednesday the 17th of march 19.15pm the final round of Popkorn is taking place at the Tivoli in Helsingborg http://www.thetivoli.nu/module.asp?XModuleId=17238&page=detail&NewsId=21393 . We all appreciate the people who voted and brought us to the final and we sure need your support on wednesday.

In the meantime the studio that we are building is taking shape, we now have doors and one half of a roof. Check out thee pics below.

The crew had a busy weekend performing for students (all ages). Started @ Villan, around 11:30 last thursday, killer crowd! Hyped up 2 full throttle!!
Moved on to a calmer, more controlled, soon to become hyped up students, @ Megamusik the following night.

Thanks to all d students the shows were great and we had a blast playing for yall!!

Hello evrybody out there in S.T.I.C.S feat Ladahland. This is Alfred writing to you. As you may already know S.T.I.C.S feat Ladah are now vailable on Spotify, Itunes and Amazon etc. Its great to be able and make something you feel proud of and believe in so easily accesible for the whole world. Thanks to the great support we have gotten from our live shows makes me feel very confident about our music. For that I would like to thank you all.

On a side note Walle, Jokke and myself are getting started on building a studio in Helsingborg were we plan to make the first S.T.I.C.S feat. Ladah album. Hopefully we will soon be able to bring you some pictures of the work taking place.

life's twisting n its the first time saleh bloggin for yall, just to put it straight I CANNOT SPELL! and yes, slang is what roams my mind!, but as everybody else is blogging tellin yall about what they ate and all o that this is going to be a lil bit different, im talking about music… real soul music…. S.T.I.C.S feat Ladah is honestly not just what you hear off the EP (which yes u should go get maaaaad soon, and don’t act like u cant find it , cause every person with a Iphone, ibook or Ipod is bond to handle with the program that personally cant stand, yes im talking about ITUNES!!!)
what im trying to get to is the fine soul music and soulful individuals that brought together this project… personally im a pheen for the old school rnb moves (check out usher – think of you) which can be seen in many of the texts, not to mention that sweet poetry! If you one o them hardcore listeners to the context of what is being said, than honestly, take any text and read it, I believe you gone like it =),
personally I believe we all gotta starts questioning all writers and musicians, I mean ya honestly, music is a peace of ART right? Aka things gotta get artistic!!! (note the word play on the word arti.s.t.i.c ;) ) so when musicians going to start getting a little bit more artistic? By this yes I mean a little more challenges to both the musical part and the written parts!!! Pls, take to note im not in any way trying to glorify or say that we’re doing any better… (cause I admit sometimes party-bacardy lines funny to hit) but we gotta challenge our listeners and have faith in them to hit the punchlines !!!

anyway I hope peeps start getting their act together so there’s more than just lights, camera and wack action!!!

This blogg is designed to make people aware of the live experience that is S.T.I.C.S Feat. LADAH.

S.T.I.C.S Feat. LADAH play a mix of music ranging from hip hop, soul and funk. The group is known for having a rockish, authentic and eclectic approach to hip hop without the use of programmed music, using live instrumentals.

A collaboration took place in mid-summer 09 when S.T.I.C.S and LADAH came together and formed the group simply called “S.T.I.C.S Feat. LADAH”. The release of their first demo, november 5th, will mark the spot of something brand new!
