life's twisting n its the first time saleh bloggin for yall, just to put it straight I CANNOT SPELL! and yes, slang is what roams my mind!, but as everybody else is blogging tellin yall about what they ate and all o that this is going to be a lil bit different, im talking about music… real soul music…. S.T.I.C.S feat Ladah is honestly not just what you hear off the EP (which yes u should go get maaaaad soon, and don’t act like u cant find it , cause every person with a Iphone, ibook or Ipod is bond to handle with the program that personally cant stand, yes im talking about ITUNES!!!)
what im trying to get to is the fine soul music and soulful individuals that brought together this project… personally im a pheen for the old school rnb moves (check out usher – think of you) which can be seen in many of the texts, not to mention that sweet poetry! If you one o them hardcore listeners to the context of what is being said, than honestly, take any text and read it, I believe you gone like it =),
personally I believe we all gotta starts questioning all writers and musicians, I mean ya honestly, music is a peace of ART right? Aka things gotta get artistic!!! (note the word play on the word arti.s.t.i.c ;) ) so when musicians going to start getting a little bit more artistic? By this yes I mean a little more challenges to both the musical part and the written parts!!! Pls, take to note im not in any way trying to glorify or say that we’re doing any better… (cause I admit sometimes party-bacardy lines funny to hit) but we gotta challenge our listeners and have faith in them to hit the punchlines !!!
anyway I hope peeps start getting their act together so there’s more than just lights, camera and wack action!!!
